Our Approach

What you can expect from us 

Tandartspraktijk Avelli offers high-quality and comprehensive dental care. In order to make this possible, it is of the utmost importance that we have a full picture not only of your dental health, but of your health in general. Your first visit to our practice will therefore include an interview as well as a check-up and take approximately 30 minutes. This is what you can expect:

• Anamnesis: The dentist will ask you specific questions about your health in order to obtain a full picture of your medical and dental history, as well as other relevant circumstances.
• Clinical and radiological examination: The dentist will inspect your teeth visually and with the aid of x-ray photographs.
• Diagnosis.
• A treatment plan, including cost-estimate.

Subsequently, appointments will be made for treatment. We prefer relatively long sessions, as this makes it possible to do a lot of work in one go and enables us to keep the number of anaesthetics to a minimum. If you prefer a larger number of short sessions, then we’ll be happy to accommodate your wishes.

If your teeth are healthy and require no treatment, then you will return to us twice a year for a periodic check-up.

Entertainment

We make use of an intra-oral camera. If you wish, you can see the teeth to be treated, as well as the end result, for yourself. Our patients can take advantage of an entertainment system, too. It includes a television screen fitted to the ceiling and provides distraction while you are in the chair. We have a choice of films and music, but you are welcome to bring along your own media.
